Every day I make time in the morning to write down five things that I ‘m grateful for. Doing this every day has helped me a lot in my life and I feel that being grateful is a key value for me. I believe my life is better now because of my thankful attitude, this has helped me live the life that I want and dream of.
I know it is not easy to be grateful when you are having a hard time in your life or when you are having a testing time. We all go through testing times in our lives. When I was going through mine, it was very hard for me to be grateful. When the Dr. told me “You have cancer” it was hard for me the next day to write down five things I was grateful for that day.
So…what is one grateful for when diagnosed with cancer?
I realized that I was grateful for
- The fact that I finally found a doctor who was capable of treating my cancer
- My job, at least at that point, was helping with a solid insurance plan
I ended up recovering from that dark time in my life, and now I am the host of “You Are Being Tested, Do Not Worry”, a radio show broadcasting every Saturday at 4:30 PM on 99.5 KKLA.
I start each show by telling my listeners what I’m grateful for that day and asking the listeners what they are grateful for.
Be grateful for today and make it a great day and week.
