This is a great question for all of us to think about. I define myself first as a child of God. Throughout my life I always felt that I had a special relationship with God. I always felt that he was protecting me growing up. I had a lot of challenges in my life, but I always knew he was with me and protected me. We all define ourselves in one way or another, even if we do not realize it.
How can defining yourself change your life?
The moment I realized who I was and how I defined myself as a person, it really helped me understand that I have a special purpose in this world. If someone asked me to define myself, I would most likely say I’m a child of God, I’m a believer, I’m a wife, I’m a mother; most importantly I will say I’m a person who aspires to show others love every day. How does one define the self? It is based on our religion, our beliefs, and most importantly what our friends and families defined us as. I remember asking my husband yesterday how would he define me in one word? The first thing he said was joyful! I would have to say that made me incredibly happy to hear him say that. It feels good to know that he feels that I am a joyful person and that is all I can ask for. I would love for everyone that I meet to feel joy and love from me; I would then feel I have done my purpose in this world.
Once you have confidence in who you are, it is easy for people to feel joy from you and feel love from you. This week on my radio show “You Are Being Tested, Do Not Worry” I had a chance to interview a special godly woman. She is a wife, mother, and author of the upcoming book Qwarantine. The reason why I define her as a godly woman is that just by talking to her two times over the phone, I felt her love for God, and it was enormously powerful.
Please listen to my interview with Liberty Dawn this Saturday, August 29, at 4:30 PM on 99.5 KKLA.” You Are Being Tested, Do Not Worry” is aired every Saturday at 4:30 PM and the program is broadcast on KKLA.com, KKLA App, iHeart Radio, Tuneineradio.com, Christianradio.com, and Alexa Smart Speaker.
