Are You Believing for Great Things?

Are you waiting for your life partner?

A lot of us have our goals, dreams, and our plans for our lives, but most of us do not even believe that these things will actually happen. I’m in love with CeCe Winan’s new song, “Believe for it.” I’ve been listening to CeCe’s song over and over again. I started realizing that if we would all just believe for great things to happen then at some point that reality would manifest. Believe we can have the things that we are praying for, hoping, and believing for. The problem is we sometimes pray for what we want, but we don’t have the faith, the actual trust and belief that it will happen. I have the opportunity this week to interview CeCe Winans. She will be speaking about her project, “An Evening of Thanksgiving with CeCe Winans” and her new song “Believe for it!” Please listen to this Saturday, February 20, at 4:30 PM on 99.5 FM KKLA. The program is broadcast on KKLA.com, KKLA App, iHeart Radio, Tuneineradio.com, Christianradio.com, and Alexa Smart Speaker. This year for Valentine’s Day I thought about what I should talk about to give hope to someone that is possibly waiting for their life partner or praying to meet someone great. I did not have it easy before I met my husband at 37 years old. It was not easy for me to keep my faith that I was going to meet a wonderful partner. In 2015, I turned to God for help. I wrote God a letter describing exactly what I was looking for in a husband. I even put a date on when I would like to meet my husband; I prayed and believed it was going to happen for me. I know it sounds like wishful thinking, a long shot. But five months after writing my letter to God for help I met my sweet husband Jayson on November 18, 2015. We had our daughter a year after and got married. If you’re reading this blog and you are hoping to meet your life partner this year in 2021 I want to tell you to write down what you’re looking for in a partner. Please know exactly what you want and ask for help from God, believe that you can have it. You may not get it on your timeline, but you will get it sooner or later. Have faith that it will happen for you! God will play his part, and you have a key role in what happens next. What I mean by that is the Lord doesn’t just hand out favors for merely asking. In my case, I needed to become worthy of having a great relationship. I focused on self-love; at the time, after coming out of a serious relationship, I had certain doubts. I had to believe that I could one day have a great husband in my life and I was deserving of love from a great man, and then it happened for me. Our Valentine’s Day show is this Saturday and is about my love story with my sweet husband Jayson Quintanilla. Jayson will be sharing his thought about how he felt before he met me, a sort of ‘He said-She said.’. We are sharing our story so we can give other single people hope and just to let them know that their time is coming. Listen this Saturday, February 13th, at 4:30 PM on 99.5 KKLA. “You Are Being Tested, Do Not Worry” is aired every Saturday at 4:30 PM and the program is broadcast on KKLA.com, KKLA App, iHeart Radio, Tuneineradio.com, Christianradio.com, and Alexa Smart Speaker. How can we fulfill a need in our community and in our world?

Are you being Tested?

All of us can fulfill a need in our community. First, ask yourself what people need. I think people oftentimes think about how they might become an asset to the community but then fail to follow through. Even if you only did one charitable act per year, that would be a grand gesture which serves to improve our world. For example, what about products that people need? I had an opportunity this week to interview Stacy Blackman, a mom that saw a need and got together with three other mothers. They came up with a product for boys. Not just any products for boys, but a skin care product that will help boys feel good about themselves and build their confidence. As you know, we have a lot of skin care products in the marketplace for girls. Culturally, we likely feel that boys don’t want or need skin care products, but Stacy and her team looked beyond and realized that self-care matters for boys as well, so they came up with a skin care product that is just for boys’ skin. The product is called Stryke Club. This is a great example of fulfilling a need. She decided to share the product with all boys, and if you are interested you can purchase her product on their website https://strykeclub.com and in Target stores as well. Please tune in to listen to Stacy Blackman’s wonderful story and her journey of fulfilling a need for boys through her skin care products this Saturday February 6th at 4:30 PM. Listen to my show “You are being tested, do not worry.” The program is broadcast on KKLA.com, KKLA App, iHeart Radio, Tuneineradio.com, Christianradio.com, and Alexa Smart Speaker. All of us go through a testing time in our lives. Some of us go through losing a family member or friends we are close to. Some of us get fired or go out of business or go through a divorce. It is very important to understand that you are not alone, that all of us go through testing times. My testing time was when I was fighting cancer, lost my home and lost my job all in the same time frame. We must trust and believe that there is a better day ahead of us. Talking about being tested, I had a chance to interview Li’shey Johnson. She just released a new book called Why Not Me October One. Wow… she just happened to go through her testing time four years ago. Li’shey was working at a concert in Las Vegas October first, 2017. Some of you might remember that day: there was a tragic mass shooting. It took her years to recover, but now she’s sharing and trying to share the message of healing through her book. Please tune in this Saturday the 30th to hear her story. Li’shey is now an author and a real estate agent in Las Vegas. Listen to my show “You are being tested, do not worry.” The program is broadcast on KKLA.com, KKLA App, iHeart Radio, Tuneineradio.com, Christianradio.com, and Alexa Smart Speaker. How can we all help our community and business during Covid-19?

2021 Dream Big

It’s so important right now that we all find ways to help people and businesses in our community. Many people are struggling. Some have lost their jobs and businesses are closing down. But I truly believe if we all work together as a community and help each other, we can come through this stronger. I have decided to work in a career where I can assist businesses with keeping their doors open by helping them with compliances at the state and federal levels, as well showing them how to secure a PPP loan. Try to resist the temptation of online ordering and shop locally, especially if you know that the local business owner is treating COVID-19 seriously. If you know of someone nearby who has been victimized by Coronavirus, find a safe way of dropping off groceries at their doorstop. All of us can do something small to help our community. I had an opportunity this week to interview Elaine Mello-Clarke of St. Cyril in Encino, CA. She spoke of how her school is helping their students study from home and how they’ve been able to help businesses in our community. Please listen to Elaine’s story this Saturday, January 23, at 4:30 PM on 99.5 FM KKLA. The program is broadcast on KKLA.com, KKLA App, iHeart Radio, Tuneineradio.com, Christianradio.com, and Alexa Smart Speaker. We are never too young or too old to go for our dreams. This week I had an opportunity to meet with Athena Mansour, the CEO of curlyscollection.com. Athena is only 18 years old. She inspired me to start dreaming bigger this year; not only is she a CEO of her own company, but also a full-time student. How can one not be inspired by this? She has always been passionate about lashes so she decided to start her own business. Please listen to Athena’s interview this Saturday, January 16, at 4:30 PM on 99.5 KKLA. “You Are Being Tested, Do Not Worry” is broadcast on KKLA.com, KKLA App, iHeart Radio, Tuneineradio.com, Christianradio.com, and Alexa Smart Speaker.
