We are so busy with holiday planning that we sometimes forget to take care of ourselves.

When I say self-care, I mean taking time to just be quiet, or take a bubble bath, read a book, do our hair or just taking time for ourselves. For me doing my hair is important self-care. I take time to do my hair every day before starting my day. I take one hour for myself every day in the morning, I do whatever I want to do. I honestly believe I need me time every day to be able to freely give to others. It is extremely easy for me as a mother, a wife, and also a working mom to forget about myself sometimes.

I have been going to the same beauty supply place for about seven years now in Studio City. This is where I go to pick up all my beauty supplies, so I can take care of myself. When I feel good about myself it gives me a lot more confidence to be a blessing to my family, my co-workers, my community, and the world. This week I had a chance to interview the woman that owns Tammy, the beauty supply store that I have been going to for years. I asked her questions like what inspired her to open a beauty supply store.
